Woohoo! We made it! What a long day(s)!!! We left Newark on time & flew all night long, even getting in 40 minutes early! Ahh! We dozed some, read & watched movies. Overall, a great flight!
We were in Hong Kong for a 3 hour layover. We were able to get coffee & take a long walk. It felt great to stretch out after 15 hours of flying. 😀
Then we took a quick flight to Guangzhou, where we met our guide at the airport. We drove through lots of crazy traffic & arrived at hotel in one piece. 😉😉 We were even early! They sent us to a relaxing lounge & hooked us up with complimentary drinks. It was wonderful to sit in big comfy chairs.
We had a quick lunch and then just explored a little while waiting for the room to be ready.
Coming back to China feels wonderful...almost home. There was no culture shock at all....just PURE JOY & EXCITEMENT! We can't wait to meet Roy on Monday!
Sorry for no pictures...I'm having trouble w/wifi & can only post from my phone currently. I hope it's resolved soon & I'll add pics. 😀
